The Life & Times Of

Born in 1970 into a very large family which continued to grow daily! Joe found himself the middle child of 10!! Cue the need to be loud, witty and noticeable. Then a move to the north of England at 6 years old meant a need to pick up a thick accent, wear flat caps and race whippets, (the first 2 are true). School brought a love for music and performing arts and  soon Joe was break dancing his way around Lancashire and drumming with bands. On leaving school Joe took up a course of Nursery Nursing being the only boy with a group of 50 girls and wearing pink overalls (Not for long). After a tough 2 years Joe qualified but couldn’t get a Job due to being a bloke. The opportunity arose to join a touring theatre company and the next 4 years were spent doing schools work and tours up and down the country. On meeting Emma in 1989 Joe eventually settled into Devon and got married in 1992. Joe then spent 3 years working as a care officer with Deaf children and eventually becoming a Youth worker for the Church of England in 1996.

This lasted for 3 years when Joe decided it was time to go for it and take the plunge of working full time in the world of showbiz and entertainment. Very soon Joe was getting a reputation for being a big gob and a funny fella. In 1999 he went off to Edinburgh festival for a successful production of Jakes ladder’s Hoodwinked as well as hosting surf festivals in Cornwall and Devon. In 2002 Joe hosted the Huge 50 day commonwealth Games baton Relay around the Country and starred in a number of ads for TV. The following year saw a memorable appearance at the Royal Albert hall for charity, as well as appearances at Her majesty’s and the Palace theatre  as well as hosting massive concerts for BBC Children In Need. 2004 gave Joe the opportunity to host the Olympic Parade in Trafalgar Square, which saw him working for a full hour unscripted with a crowd of over 30,000 people . Since then Joe has gone on to tour extensively as a stand up comedian, present on TV for JML and host more huge events for Sport relief, Tour De France and the BBC. Joe is rapidly becoming one of the nations favourite all rounders and it will only be a matter of time before he becomes a household name.. (he could change it to Domestos)
